Business Intelligence Engineer Intern - Amazon

During my 6-month internship at Amazon Luxembourg, I achieved significant milestones:

• Developed ETL SQL pipelines for input data of a NLP ML model that classifies Dangerous or Non-Dangerous goods based on their description on Amazon catalog.
• Designed and developed an ad hoc Importance Sampling method to reduce the variance of the metrics estimators of the model, leading to 100k$ in headcount savings thanks to reduced audit needed.
• Built the entire sampling strategy, leveraging several statistical and sampling techniques, to measure the classification quality of the algorithms for EPR program that classify products into different eco-fees categories.
